Bill, have you been out selling ads for this years Contingency book? Maybe we should have a prize for the puller who sells the most ads. What do you think?

What-who's vehicle would you use as the center-fold? Maybe fans choice. could to that for next year. Come up with a fair way to choose something for this year and we will look at it.

Just wondering if we are going to be able to bring our Pro-Mod diesel truck out to greatlake pulls to do demo pulls. We will still pay our membership but would like to get the truck out to some of your pulls especially Owen Sound because thats my home town.

Chris- We really need to start pushing for Great Lakes to get the class up and going for us. This year we should have a minimum of 5 or 6 trucks (there will be 3 in my groupe if mine isn't sold first,2 from Heaths and yours and Randy if he is jumping up...that should make 7 in total) that is just as many trucks as the 4x4 mods have. Personally, if we could figure out a way to pull at the same time as they do (4x4 Mods) I think it would be an even match. You pulling against the pro-street guys won't be very fair.

If they let you pull as a demo let me know and I will bring mine out too...just make sure its a good track so we can put on a decent show!!!

I don't want to pull against anybody.Well except when im pulling pro-mod.It's just that we built the truck to advertise. And would like to run it in certain places that we have fans,Like brooklyn, and Owen Sound.Plus I think it would be good to promote our class especially in a place like Owen Sound(My home town).I don't want to go and beet up on pro-street guys it's just that I wan't to run my truck.

yeah, my point exactly!!! I think if you/we are trying to promote the ProMods we should be pulling with another class and the only class that we will at all even compare to is the 4x4 Mods. I hooked last year at Orangeville with mine and pulled right after prostreet...and I put 50+ feet on you, Randy and my brother.

I just think to make it fair to the class (ProStreet) we should demo with the mods. While the Mods have a whole lot more HorsePower than we do...we have just as much torque. They are running cut tires and a 133" wheel base or there abouts and we have to run DOT tires but can run anything wheelbase from the factory (Mine is 168") I think that would put us in a pretty level playing field to make everything look fair.

One other thing...I think if we are going to try to possibly promote Pro-Mod in Great lakes...we are going to need at least 2 or 3 trucks show up and do an actual Demo Class at couple of pulls. This would be a whole lot better than having just one truck out to pull and actually be good for our future!!!

Ryan why wouldn't you consider putting on the mods safety equipment (check the rule book or call us) I think you would be a great addition to the mod class. But safety is a must.

Cathy...I would absoluty love to but there are a few things/rules I don't want to do to my truck as its still technially a street truck. Here they are (cut and pasted out of the rule book)

Vehicles must have safety glass or Plexiglas in windshield and rear window. Factory tint is permitted. (I just put $500 worth of new glass in the truck last year...don't want to break it takeing it out)

b. ALL FWD vehicles engine/automatic transmission combinations must have either:

i. Two front engine mounts, two rear engine mounts, and a support saddle for rear of transmission, with 1/2inch maximum clearances; OR

ii. Two front engine mounts, support saddle at rear of engine, with 1/2-inch clearance, and a mount at rear of transmission (this is another thing I can't do other than maybe some how just putting an nother cross member some how under the front of the tranny...this is something even the big diesel trucks in the states don't have to have)

Blowers or turbo limited to one pressure stage.(this is the biggest thing in your rules why it wouldn't be possible for me to run...I am running compound twins...smaller feeding the larger like a two stage air compressor) I am seeing over 100PSI of boost and I couldn't possibly have enough HP or RPM to run just a HUGE single with out running a Sigma Pump. I have bumped my RPM up to 5500 this season and even with that I couldn't spool my big turbo as a single.

Turbo charger must be completely shrouded. Except for inlet and exhaust pipes, with steel or aluminum or at least .60 in thickness. (does the actual engine compartment count??? I can't see any of the turbo's from outside the engine compartment.

Maximum wheelbase cannot be longer than 133 inches.
(my wheel base is 168" long...meaning that over all legth is 35" longer than your trucks.

9. Solid rear suspension only. (I still have leaf springs but the whole thing is blocked solid...this could deffinatly change if I were permited to pull)

7. Vehicles must use wheels no more than 6 inches off the ground, within 6 inches of the forward most part of the vehicle.

a. Wheels must be a minimum of 6 inches in diameter by 2 inches wide. (I could do this but I don't know what they are actually used for???)

No dual wheels, bar tires only (Untill we are permited to run any drive train I want in Pro-Mod...I am going to keep the dual wheels and DOT tires)

1 Bell housings to be SFI 6.2 or 6.3 (They don't have an SFI belhousing for a NV5600 (6-speed) as the belhousing/trany are one piece) I do run an SFI belhousing blanket though and my clutch is SFI aproved)

My truck does have other saftey things though that arn't mentioned in your rules. I have an spring activated Air Kill that can be activated by my self or the sled and kill the truck instantly. I also have a fuel dump operated by my self that will also kill the engine imediatly.

I don't think there would be any possible way for me to comply to your rules but honestly...I think it would be possible to run my truck with its current setup (complying with Pro-Modified Rules) and be just as safe as your trucks and run right beside your trucks. The longer wheel base/DOT tires would even out with the shorter wheel base/cut tires and me running twins isn't much different than you guys running Super Chargers because if you think about it...You can honestly get almost more power out of an naturly aspriated BBC as I could a diesel running a single charger. Also, I am running no where the cubes that you guys are running with your blowers...I am running at 359 (actually 361 or something like that with the .010 thou over) so I am almost 150 cubes less than your limit.

Anyway, sorry for the super long post...I think it would be cool to try it and see what happens...just don't think its possible to comply to your rules.

I forgot to mention one other big thing...weight. Your trucks are 6200lbs and mine is 8000lbs with only 700lbs of weight out front as I can't get it any lighter than 7300lbs.
