Stock Tractors 3. 1. Engine must be stock block or manufacturer’s replacement for that tractor. 2. Maximum displacement: (a.) 9,000 lbs. 505 cu. In. (with a possible handicap) (ex: 2 inch hitch height and 1000lbs role light)
3. Diesel fuel only. (alcohol allowed with a handicap)
4. Tractors are limited to only one turbocharger
5. A turbocharger not contained within the side shield and hood must be shielded 360 degrees with 1/16” steel.
6. Turbocharged engines must have two 3/8” grade five bolts in vertical portion of the exhaust pipe, bolts to be installed 90 degrees to each other and within 1” of each other.
7. Tractors must have an automatic kill switch air intake shutoff (diesel). The hook ring must be located in the center rear of the tractor, a minimum of three feet above point of hook. The kill switch ring must be no less than 2” in diameter. Diesel tractors must have mechanical fuel shut off to the injection pump, accessible to driver.
8. All tractors must have workable dead man throttle.
9. 3/8 cable with 2 clamps wrapped around frame and motor between #1 and #2 cylinder.
10. Side shielding of 1/16-inch steel or equivalent strength metal will cover from the hood to the lower swing of the crankshaft and be securely fastened. Frame rails excepted.
11. Pro Stock tractors must have approved blankets covering clutches and flywheels and be secured against rear face of engine block
12. Maximum tire width, (a.) 9,000 lbs. 30.5 inches
13. Sheet metal on tractors may be updated but the tractor specs must remain as per original tractor.
14. Tractors must be no longer than 12 feet from center of rear axle forward, weight included. Tractors must be within 6 inches of original wheelbase. No tricycle front ends.
15. Weights must not extend rearward beyond the rear tires.
16. Minimum drawbar length is 18 inches from the center of the rear wheel to the point of hook, measured horizontally. The maximum drawbar height is 20 inches from the top of the hitching device (point of hook) to the ground.
17. If “D” hitch is bolted, it must be fastened with two bolts, grade 8 size, 1” primary (rear), ¾” secondary, (front).
18. Stabilizer bars must extend 2” beyond the edge of the rear tires. Stabilizer pads must be a minimum of 24 square inches each. The pads are to be mounted a maximum height of 8 inches off the ground when the tractor is parked on a flat surface. The pads must be a minimum of 24 inches from the outside edge of one to the outside of the other pad. Vertical bars are to extend up from the rear edge of the pads, minimum of 12 inches, made from equal strength material as the stabilizer bars. Stabilizer bars must be capable of supporting the tractor weight of the heaviest class it will pull in. No wheels allowed.
19. Fenders must be constructed so that with the driver seated, no part of the driver’s body can come in contact with the rear wheels. (hands on steering wheel).
20. All tractors must have a working fire extinguisher, 2 ½ lb. ABC or 1 ½ lb. halon, convenient to the driver
21. All drivers must wear a CSA approved helmet and seatbelt. Single layer fire suit required.
22. Tractors may not weigh light by more than 1,000 lbs. of the class being pulled.
23. Each Tractor must have a safety-starting device so that the tractor is only able to start in neutral and/or park.
24. Each tractor must have an automotive type white light of the dashboard and one within 6 inches of the kill switch/or air shutoff to indicate when the vehicle is in reverse motion.
25. Roll Cages to be built with a minimum of 3 bars 2inch, .120-wall thickness with inspection holes. Roll cages must be constructed to be able to support the weight of the tractor. Roll cages must be equipped with a high back seat and five point harness.
26. All pulling vehicles must have an operator in the driver’s seat while being started and at all times when running.
27. Clutches and flywheels must be inspected annually.
