1.
All 4 x 4 Stock trucks must be naturally aspirated with cast iron intake
and exhaust manifolds, single carburetor, no gas fuel injection.
Diesel 4 x 4 trucks (Chev-Ford-Dodge) must have factory turbo or system
factory injectors.
No water injection allowed.
No alcohol is allowed in the fuel system. 2.
Mufflers
must be attached. 3.
All General
Track Rules will apply. 4.
Hitch point
is to be the rearmost point of the truck, rigid in all directions and a maximum
of 22 inches from the top of the hitching device to the ground.
No part of hitching device to exceed the center of the rear axle. 5.
No air
shocks or blocks are allowed to make truck suspension rigid (air shocks not to
exceed 30 PSI). 6.
4 x 4 Stock
trucks will weigh no more than 5,500 lbs.
Added weight may not be mounted forward of stock positioned bumper and/or
grill. No
weight bars or snowplow harness allowed.
Weights must be secure and not in cab. 7.
Stock truck
suspension must move.
No lateral bars allowed. 8.
Tire size
– 31 x 10.5 maximum and stamped DOT approved. 9.
Boxes will
be stock in appearance and must have full floor.
No complete fiberglass body. 10.
Any changes
or modifications of rules will be done with at least a quorum vote of the
membership of the stock class members. 11.
No truck
may hook in two different divisions at the same event. 12.
All trucks
must have working brakes on all four wheels. 13.
Maximum of
526 CID engine size. 14.
All trucks
competing in the Circuit Stock Class must comply with all Circuit Stock 4 x 4
rules. 15.
No engine
driven fans, electric fans and water pumps are allowed.
Safety
Equipment Required 1.
Vehicles
must have a SFI approved balancer or covered with ¼ inch steel shield, 1 inch
wide, 360 degrees around a harmonic balancer no more than 1 inch away from the
balancer. Water
pump may be used.
Harmonic balancer must be bolted on. 2.
All
automotive type engines with bellhousings and clutch will run a full block
plate, either a unit commercially available, or minimum 3/16-inch steel, or
minimum ¼-inch aluminum with (6) 3/8-inch Grade # 5 bolts evenly spaced on the
bottom of the bellhousing and a blanket for automatics, front to back or short
blanket on bellhousing and 3/16 inch steel over body of transmission. 3.
Drive shaft
loops on U joint next to housing minimum thickness ¼-inch or 3/8-inch aluminum.
4.
Drivers must wear lap seat belt and a DOT approved helmet. 5.
Engine
shields minimum 16 gauge 1/8-inch aluminum to cover the entire block that the
frame doesn't cover.
(Diesel powered trucks may use ¼-inch rubber belting that must close off
between frame and inner fender). Automatic transmissions must be protected from the back of the block to the rear of the planitaries, 360 degrees.
